The first ever Kumho FIA TCR World Tour titles, for Drivers and Teams, will be decided by the last event of the season: the Macau Guia Race in which World Tour contenders will compete against their fellow colleagues from TCR China and TCR Asia forming an impressive field of 32 cars.
Three drivers are in close contention, with last year's World Tour champion Norbert Michelisz (BRC Hyundai N Squadra Corse, Hyundai Elantra N) who leads the standings by ten points over Esteban Guerrieri (GOAT Racing, Honda Civic Type R FL5) and 19 ahead of Thed Björk (Lynk & Co Cyan Racing, Lynk & Co 03 FL).
Two more drivers follow at short distance, Björk's teammate Yann Ehrlacher and Michelisz's teammate Mikel Azcona. They have gaps of 23 and 27 points, however unless some drama occurs to their squad leaders, they should be relegated to the role of squires. As well as Cyan's Santiago Urrutia and BRC's Néstor Girolami who are 61 and 72 points behind when 75 will be on offer during the weekend.
Of the top five drivers, Michelisz is the only one who will not carry Compensation Weight on board his car against Björk's 10kg, Guerrieri's 20 and 30 for Azcona and Ehrlacher.
In the Teams' classification, Lynk & Co Cyan Racing leads BRC Hyundai N Squadra Corse by 55 points, with 135 still at stake.
