Herrero Racing will be the newest team on the grid in this year's TCR Europe Touring Car Series, with the French team confirming today that it will run two CUPRA Leon VZ TCRs in this year's championship.

The team from Bazas in southwest France is a leading team in French motorsport, having won its class' title in the Ultimate GT Sprint Cup last year, and with experience from both endurance and and sprint-style racing from also competing in the competitive Alpine Elf Cup Series.

For 2026, the team makes the move to touring car competition as it will run a pair of brand-new CUPRA Leon VZ TCRs, the TCR Model Of The Year winner of 2025, in this year's TCR Europe series.

"We are extremely happy and proud to announce our entry into TCR Europe with two CUPRA Leon TCR cars," said team manager Matéo Herrero.

"This new collaboration with CUPRA represents a major step forward for the team and an exciting new challenge for everyone involved. We are starting this programme with a clear mindset: learn fast, build strong foundations, and be competitive from the very first rounds. The ambition is to gain experience quickly while aiming to fight at the front as early as possible this season. We can’t wait to get started."

The team will reveal the two drivers chosen to race this year at a later date. They will be experienced racing drivers from France, with front-running experience in sports car and touring car racing.
