The current TCR UK champion will be looking to battle for the title alongside Viktor Andersson, and a yet to be confirmed team-mate.
Shepherd is the first British racing driver announced for this season, after making his intentions clear to move up to the series after an incredible campaign in TCR UK last year, as well as a stunning outing at the TCR Spain season finale, where he scored victory in his first weekend with Monlau Motorsport.
The 33-year-old won eight races from 17 in the UK series last year, and has been a regular race winner ever since his debut in 2022.
Mostly associated with CUPRA machinery, Shepherd upgraded to the current specification Leon VZ TCR early last season, and so he's already familiar with the Spanish racing car as he embarks on his first full season in TCR Europe.
"We're with the best team on the grid, and I know the car very well from the UK, so I think we've got a good chance to go out there and win the championship," said Shepherd.
"I raced with the team in TCR Spain at the end of last year, and that was my first time on Kumho, which was a bit of a learning curve. Every time we went out we improved, getting the second fastest lap of the weekend and also a win, so we were improving all the time.
"We've already been doing some testing, as the most difficult bit for me this year will be that every circuit except Barcelona is going to be new, so it's going to be interesting.
"It's also going to be new for me having an engineer to learn together with. I also know my driving style is a little unique, so it's been great working with an engineer that can understand what I like and we've already been making good steps forward.
"We know we've got a very strong team, so we've got to set our sights on trying to win the title."
Shepherd joins the already confirmed Viktor Andersson at the Barcelona team, meaning there are two new drivers competing with the team that won the 2024 and 2025 drivers' titles with Franco Girolami and Jenson Brickley, with a third driver soon to be revealed.
