2026 Formula One Italian Grand Prix, Saturday

Invicta Racing’s Joshua Duerksen put in a stellar drive from the fourth row on the grid to win the Sprint Race from P7.  The Paraguayan driver controlled a late-race Safety Car restart to earn his third Sprint of the 2026 season and in the process became the driver with the most podiums at Monza in F2.

Taito Kato went from ninth to the top step of the podium in the Monza Sprint Race, putting in a phenomenal performance to claim his first victory in FIA Formula 3. The ART Grand Prix driver had to hold off TRIDENT’s Freddie Slater, who went from P12 to second, on the final lap to claim victory. 

Pierre Gasly will start from pole position for the Formula 1 Pirelli Gran Premio d’Italia at Monza.

Today, FIA Formula 2 presented its new challenger for the 2027, 2028, and 2029 FIA F2 seasons during a special unveiling in the Formula 1 paddock at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza.
