Wong Wan Long, Célio Alves Dias and Chang Chien Shang took Race 1 Victories

Wynn Macau Challenge Cup

Wong Wan Long took a dominant Race 1 win in the Wynn Macau Challenge Cup taking the chequered flag by 9.876s ahead of Chan Chi Ha, with Delfim Choi third on the podium.

Wong, in a Mitsubishi EVO 10, came under pressure early in the eight-lap race, but pulled away from the field in the final laps to secure pole position for tomorrow’s 12-lap Race 2. Fourth across the line was Wong Ka Hong, followed by Mou Chi Fai and Luciano Lameiras.

Melco Macau Touring Car Cup

Célio Alves Dias in a Mini Cooper S won the Melco Macau Touring Car Cup Race 1 from pole position taking the chequered flag by 13.537s to put himself on pole position for tomorrow’s Race 2.

Second on the podium was Sabino Lei, followed by Lui Man Fai. Dias led the 30-strong field from pole position and after a brief safety car period, continued to strengthen his lead. Lei, who moved up to second on the second lap, also continued to strengthen his position, as Lui moved into the final podium position on lap 5. Wan Jin Cun and Lam Ka Chun were fourth and fifth, respectively.

MGM Greater Bay Area GT Cup

Chang Chien Shang (BMW M4 GT4) took an impressive Race 1 win the MGM Greater Bay Area GT Cup, ahead of Chen Zun Cheng (BMW M4 GT4) and Mok Tsz Nok (Mercedes AMG GT4), and will start tomorrow’s Race 2 from pole position. Chang led the field throughout the entire eight-lap race, including after a late safety car period, to win by a margin of 7.052s. An early hard-fought battle for second between in Chen and Chris Chia On resulted in Chia retiring after the pair made contact. Nicholas Lai Chi Hou was fourth, followed by Ip Un Hou and Evan Mak Hiu Kong.
